Summer isn’t officially here yet, but its basically around the corner (time flies when you’re having fun am I right?), and mentally I’m already on a beach somewhere. We are headed out of town for a little coastal escape this weekend. We’re going to Hunting Island State Park, a barrier island about 15 miles east of Beaufort, SC and one of our favorite beach escapes from Charlotte! It’s got wide, undeveloped beaches perfect for running, jumping waves, sand castle building, fishing, kite flying and more (to be honest, I am hoping my kids give me a little bit of peace and quiet to dig into the ARC of a new book I just received). The weekend forecast is looking absolutely gorgeous, so sorry to make you jealous, but our timing couldn’t be more perfect.
